II”. “Sasayakana Shukusai (ささやかな祝祭)” puts the newly trio’d trio (member Kazamarei Maraika left the group earlier this year) in the forest for a little bit of a jazzy romp that’s a few hundred miles away from the prog leanings of much of the group’s catalog. You can feel the swing of the rhythm with the horns, upright bass, and richly layered instrumentation. Sora tob sakana play greek chorus to a story of boy meets girl told through a series of connected skits. “Sasayakana Shukusai” plays with long instrumental sections that give the girls to focus on their cheeery choreography (for a change). I’m not sure what all this has to do with the anime, but I’m glad the girls get the call for another anime of note.
