SHACHI, the solo project from CY8ER member Mashilo, takes off even further with a new digital EP in the works and a new promotional video to give you a taste. “Tokyo” finds Mashilo putting on the headphones, sitting with her back to the wall, and crooning out to you. The cool colors of the PV accent the projection of Tokyo roads on the stucco wall behind her for a transporting effect. For us who read English (which I suppose is why YOU are here), SHACHI gives us bilingual lyrics so we can get a better sense of the solitary sentiment of the song. “Tokyo” is beautiful and haunting, and I’m probably picking up the mp3 version as soon as I can. “Alone”, the digital EP from SHACHI will go on sale September 2, but you can pick up a couple of tracks early … like NOW. It’s what she would want, right?
