Tamura Meimi, the former Hello! Project member, puts together a new album with this, her latest promotional video, to serve in promotion. “Ichijiku (いちじく)” starts with Meimi playing coy with her vocals until she powers through a memorably melodic chorus. Through the visuals, the singer tries a series of dresses and adds more and more glamour to each appearance. Throughout “Ichijiku”, we get images of figs perhaps to sumbolize her maturity as a person and an artist. Tamura is truly a gifted vocalist who emotes in a series of unexpected tones. “Ichijiku” is available on Tamura Meimi’s 1st album, due on April 8, 2020.
