I know it’s time, can you believe that a Best of- CD for Wa-suta is in the works? From that work, today we have the promotional video from the original song “Grapefruit moon (グレープフルーツムーン)”. Shot on the rooftops with the titular moon floating bright and huge, Wa-suta present a look outside of the ornate costuming of their single output. Musically, “Grapefruit moon” sounds personable and heartfelt with an arrangement that stays on the band track for the entire duration of the song. I don’t know if this is a mark of maturity for the five-girls- maybe they’ve outgrown their cat ears. Regardless of implication, I really enjoy what I’m hearing here in “Grapefruit moon”, and I feel like I’ve been primed for the next chapter in Wa-Suta. Wasuta BEST goes on sale March 25, 2020.
