And we’re back after a week away! Let’s take a look at some of the many 48 group TV shows that aired this past week!
140727 Nogizaka46 – Nogizakatte Doko ep144 – This week we learn who each member looks up to.
Rating:
Its interesting to see what influences idols have outside of their group, and this is no exception.
140729 AKBINGO! ep299 – We’re introduced to some members of Team 8 and they quiz the others on their native dialects.
Rating:
This is hilarious and fun if you’re familiar with the Japanese language. Otherwise you’re going to be lost the entire time. However, its a great “first look” at Team 8.
140730 HKT48 no Odekake! ep78 – We have two groups this week, one group goes to train at a boxing gym while the other group eats some super-spicy noodles.
Rating:
Both groups work til they sweat, for two very different reasons.
140726 HKT48 no Goboten ep10 – Matsuoka Natsumi and Kojina Yui visit a glowstick factory and watch a demonstration of wotagei.
Rating:
Pretty fun and cool episode, and glowstick wotagei is always cool.
140729 AKB de Arubaito ep05 – Kitahara Rie and Oya Shizuka continue to find potential candidates and finally settle on a girl to work part-time with AKB.
Rating:
I’m going to be honest and say I was too distracted by how cute the girl was that I have no idea what actual work she did but hey, it’s pretty enjoyable.
140729 French Kiss no Kiss-tabi ep05 – Kuramochi Asuka is flying solo to Los Angeles where she visits the beach and has some VERY expensive food.
Rating: 
An idol in America! You know what that means, right? Awkward cute English, idols being Japanese tourists, huge food portions, the works.
140729 NMB no Meccha Baito ep04 – Kinoshita Haruna, Jonishi Kei, and Yamaguchi Yuuki work on an ostrich farm.
Rating: 
I’m starting to get tired of all these “idols on a farm” episodes every single week. They’ve lost their charm to me. But hey, check it out if you like the lineup.
140725 HKT Shakariki 48 ep04 – Fuchigami Mai works in a mentaiko factory. Murashige Anna is probably sitting somewhere, very jealous right now.
Rating:
This is a really big challenge for Mai, she’s really out of her element here. Seeing her try to step up to meet the challenge is quite interesting.
140728 SKE48 Ebisho! ep03 – Sports challenge time, followed by Tani Marika and Matsumura Kaori being taken away to Hokkaido and challenged to hitchhike their way back home.
Rating:
Just like with Ebi Friday Night, SKE really shines in this program. The chemistry between the members and the host, Okubo, is top-notch, and a joy to watch.
140727 AKB48 Nemousu TV Season 16 ep01 – Nemousu returns for a new season with a two-parter where a bunch of AKB members are competing to see who can iron and fold a shirt the best.
Rating:
This sounds like the most boring thing ever, right? I thought so too but for some reason I was really entertained by it. Maybe it’s because it features a lot of members I haven’t seen on TV in awhile, in a fun competitive environment, but those 45 minutes flew by.
